Introduction
The BOB unit is designed to be plugged directly in to your computer running CuePilot without the need for any additional drivers. Recent operating systems on Mac and PC include all necessary drivers.
However, if the CuePilot application is unable to connect to the BOB unit, you may need to download and re-install a driver.
Reinstall Drivers
- Check the connection between CuePilot and the BOB unit.
Go to Setup and double click Vision Switcher to show the Vision Switcher status. Set the status to enabled. Ensure that the USB cable from the BOB unit is plugged in. Click 'Reconnect'.
If the DEV (device) light is green, you do not need to reinstall the drivers. - Reinstalling the driver.
If the DEV light is red, this indicates that there is either no device connected or there is no connection between CuePilot and the BOB unit. If the BOB unit is plugged in there might be something wrong with the operating system's included 'Virtual COM Port' drivers.
At the following link, in the table of currently supported drivers, download install the newest driver that matches your OS. https://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
Once installed, try again to connect the BOB unit to the computer and in CuePilot enable the Vision Switcher and click 'Reconnect'. The DEV light should turn green to show it is connected.
